Connect your AI
Connect Snapbook to the AI you already use and ask it anything about your business. It reads your own records, so the reports, charts and answers are built from your actual books, not a spreadsheet you pasted in.
Claude is the first AI app you can connect. Others are built on request.1
One question, answered from your own profit and loss.3
In Snapbook, open Settings, then Claude, and copy the link shown there.
Claude sends you to Snapbook. Sign in as you always do and press Allow.
Ask about your business in plain English. Claude reads what it needs and builds the answer.
https://snapbook.ai/mcp
The same link for everyone. It only opens once you sign in and allow it.
What it can read
Your AI sees the same records you can see in Snapbook, and nothing more. An owner sees the lot. A team member given only Payroll gives their AI only Payroll.4
What people ask
Ask the way you would ask your accountant. Your AI pulls the records, does the sums and lays it out as a table, a chart or a one-page summary.
“Build me a monthly report for the bank: sales, profit and cash for the last 12 months.”Profit and loss, balance sheet
“Which expense categories grew the most this year, and why might that be?”Profit and loss, transactions
“Who owes me money, and who is always late?”Invoices, contacts
“How much GST should I set aside this quarter?”GST F5 figures
“What does my team cost me as a share of sales?”Payroll, profit and loss
“Which services are booked most, and on which days?”Bookings
“What is running low, and what sold best last month?”Stock, shop orders
“What company filings are coming up, and what have I missed?”Compliance
Safe by design
Your AI can read your records and nothing else. It cannot record a sale, send an invoice, run payroll or change a setting. Changes are still made in Snapbook, by you.
It sees only what the person who connected it can see, checked again on every request. Take someone off a module or off the team and their AI loses it at once.
Customer emails and phone numbers are left out unless you ask for them in the question.
Disconnect from Settings, then Claude, and the connection stops working straight away. We keep no copy of your questions or the answers.5
Claude is the first. The connection is built on an open standard, so adding another AI app is usually quick. Tell us the one your business uses and we will build it.
Questions
Claude, today. Other AI apps are built on request: tell us which one your business uses at [email protected] and we will add it.
Nothing extra from us. It comes with your Snapbook plan. You need your own Claude account on a plan that lets you add custom connectors, which you pay Anthropic for.
No. The connection is read only. Your AI can read your records and do the analysis, but every change is still made in Snapbook itself.
Yes. Each person connects their own, and each one sees only what that person can see in Snapbook. A team member with only Payroll gives their AI only Payroll.
The company you had open in Snapbook when you pressed Allow. To connect another, switch to it in Snapbook first and connect again.
To the AI app you connected, under your own account with them and their terms. Snapbook sends only what your AI asks for in a conversation, and keeps no copy of your questions or the answers.
No. The figures come from your own records, but the answers are written by the AI and can be wrong. Check anything important, and speak to your accountant before you file.
In Snapbook, open Settings, then Claude, and disconnect. It stops working straight away. You can also remove the connector inside Claude.
No. The assistant inside Snapbook answers quick questions about your numbers. Connecting your own AI lets you do longer work with it, like building reports and charts, using the AI app you already know.
Connect your AI to Snapbook and let it read the books for you.
